·The dictionaries have a very wide variety of words, including many proper nouns, particularly ones that often are not found in dictionaries. The dictionary also has many post-classical words, giving it an edge over many in this regard.

·The search bar at the top cannot parse for nouns, but it does have something like a spell check feature that allows it to guess what words it thinks the user meant. This tends to do pretty well overall, but has trouble with some nouns with genitive forms that differ a lot from the nominative, and it cannot really compete with a dedicated parser.

Ultralingua Dictionary Crack is an advanced and professional tool for people working in various fields of language translation. Language teachers, translators, and people who experience many foreign trips annually, the current tool can be a powerful and practical solution for you. Ultralingua Latin-English Translation Dictionary. Includes verb conjugations and customizable flashcard sets. Ultralingua Latin-English Translation Dictionary.

·For verbs, the app can parse to a degree, and thus if one searches for words like “legant” or “fuisti” it will show entries for “lego” and “sum” respectively. It will not say what these forms of the word are, but it will at least say what the base word is.

·Dictionary entries are very detailed, listing all of the pertinent information like part of speech, genitives and principle parts, and sometimes (although not always) special cases taken with verbs and prepositions.Words often have several definitions listed, sometimes with notes about particular authors who favor certain usages.Entries often also contain other phrases the word appears in, and sometimes etymological information as well.

·I have not found any errors in the Latin to English dictionary, and I do not believe that I will.In addition, I have not found any words that it is missing.

·The one real drawback for this dictionary is that it might be too detailed for some users. For example, if one searches “homo” the first four entries are all phrases that use the word, but the actual definition “man” does not appear until the 5th entry. This would potentially make the app difficult for beginning students to use, and means that the dictionary is not necessarily the fastest. This dictionary might be better as a second option if one cannot find an entry in a smaller dictionary first.

·By swiping to the right, one is able to access the “conjugations” section of the Latin-English dictionary. Here, a user can search for verbs to find a nearly full paradigm for them. The paradigms contain almost every form of a word, including passives, subjunctives, and imperatives, but oddly do not have any forms of the infinitive.I have not found any errors in the paradigms otherwise.

·Notably, the search tool can find any form of a word that appears in a paradigm, and thus the words are easy to search. For example, if one searches “dicamus” the tool will pull up the paradigm for “dico.”

·Not every verb has a paradigm in the app, but most common ones do.In addition, irregular verbs like “sum,” “fero,” and “eo” have them, and there is at least one paradigm for every conjugation, so nothing is really missing for a trained user.

·By clicking an icon towards the top right of the screen, a user can adjust the font size as well as select between 5 different fonts.

·A user can also favorite entries by clicking a star icon. These can be accessed from the home page by clicking the favorites tab.

·The English to Latin dictionary is decent, but not perfect. It functions much like the Latin to English one, in that a user can search for English words by using the search bar at the top.By clicking on the words that appear, the user can view one or more Latin words corresponding to the word searched. These entries give the part of speech for the word, but not any other information like principle parts.A user can easily access this additional information, however, by clicking on the Latin words and viewing their full entries.

·The English dictionary has a good collection of words, but many of its entries are odd, miss more common alternatives, or incorporate proper nouns in ways that they should not.For example, if one searches “man” the results given are “is” “latrunculus” “metallarius” “Patroclus” and “subucula.”These are all odd, especially since “vir” or “homo” are better options.

·The dictionary has similar problems with other proper nouns. For example, it gives the definition for “blind man” as Tiresias. This is not exactly wrong, but definitely problematic.

·The English to Latin dictionary does better with verbs, although it still misses some more obvious options. If one searches “eat” for example, “edo” does not appear, although some close words do.

·The app also has a history tab, where the user can view all of the entries he or she has looked up for that session, in chronological order starting with the most recent.

·Overall, this is a very strong dictionary, especially for its price. Its strengths are in the huge volume of information and words it has, as well as the fact that it can display paradigms for many verbs. As for weaknesses, its parsing is more limited than dedicated parsing tools’, and it has so much information that it may not be suitable for individuals attempting to work quickly or who are less experienced with Latin. In addition, its English to Latin dictionary is often hard to use, although presumably most students at the high school level would have little reason to use it anyway.Despite these setbacks, this is definitely one of the better values for a dictionary app, and it would be more than sufficient for many users.
